Australian Centre for Business ResearchThe Australian Centre for Business Research, established in 2003, is a Centre of excellence in business research in Australia and conducts leading research that impacts on both the domestic and international research and business communities. The Centre supports five principal programs which undertake large scale, high profile research in:
The Faculty fosters a vibrant research community that achieves excellence in targeted areas of business research and supports collaborative, cross-disciplinary and new research to inform and serve business, industry, government and the community. Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit StudiesThe Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies was established in 2001 as a QUT Collaborative Centre, and aims to bring to the community the benefits of teaching, research, technology and service relevant to philanthropic and nonprofit communities. The Centre builds on the work of the Program on Nonprofit Corporations (PONC) established in the School of Accountancy within the Faculty of Business in 1991. Between 1991 and 2001 the Program involved various QUT staff in research, consultancy and community service in the areas of law, tax, management, marketing, fundraising and ethics of nonprofit, and philanthropic organisations.
